Money On My Mind (ft. June Bug)

I wish I could remember the exact day I fell in love with music. My dad was a musician, so it was second nature, but once I got old enough to recognize how much POWER music had, the more I fell in love with it. I think it’s both dope and scary how music can have such a HUGE IMPACT…How it can alter your moods, thoughts, and actions. 

I can admit, there have been some times where I would cut on the radio when I was in a FUCKED UP mood, and then a song like, “Bust Your Windows” would come on, and suddenly I would feel like fuckin a nygga shyt up.  But then, I would think about the consequences and come to my senses. There have been too many females that got too amped after listening to “fuck u nygga anthem”, and got themselves fucked up in the process. So I guess the moral to that story is to know what songs to LISTEN to…especially when you are feeling certain ways.

If you are in a sad mood, listen to upbeat happy music…Don’t drown yourself in your sorrows by throwin on some throw back Mary J Blige, “I’m Going Down”…Bring in POSITIVE energy. If you’re mad and you throw in some Tupac, talkin bout “Hit em Up!”, you might just fuck around and hit up some nyggaz …Especially when you got drugs and alcohol in your system to add to the frustration…The last thing you need is some negative motivation.  In fact, that might be the best time to throw on some jazz or something to mellow you out.

I honestly can’t imagine life without a melody, a beat, or the voices helped to display its artfulness …How boring would that be?

Feel emotions you can’t describe...
while you ride to rhythms that take you high…
Higher than you’ve even been…
Melody influenced by what’s within…

Music is my closest friend.

I’ve had the greatest sex to the most beautiful sounds …
Soft and profound…
Shyt, I even get a thrill out of hearing rain drops hit the ground.

And the beat….
Moves my feet every time…
As I get lost in the rhymes of the lyrics.

It’s in my spirit.
Can you feel it?
 
I can’t be the only one!

I can hear it in my dreams…and nightmares too.
Light and dark...Old or new,
I can always find something that matches what I’m going through.

Jazz, slow or fast, is like food to my soul.
R&B makes me whole…
Rock makes me lose control…
And gospel I can’t help but to extol.
Rap is like poetry being told me…
Some may do or don’t agree,
But know you can at some degree…
