Dulcinea /Dul-suh-nay-a/ Detwah is an emcee originally from Detroit.

Detwah always had a love for music, she played the clarinet and sang in the choir until she was 13 years old. 
She moved to New York for dance, but found herself back in music. Dulcinea has been an emcee for two years now, but it had always been a dream of hers. Detwah wrote poetry since she was a young girl, after watching her older sisters sharing lyrics and formatted words. It gave her inspiration when it came to writing rhymes herself…She wanted to be like them.

 “I’ve always wanted to be an MC but I was always too scared – especially after going into dancing professionally and becoming known as a modern dancer I figured I would look silly going into a music career.”

Detwah was born and raised in Detroit and says her EP “Cool Kid” is her ode to the city.

Her EP includes a self titled track.

What’s next for Dulcinea... She’ll be back in Detroit this November to perform songs from her EP as well as recording the video for “Cool Kid”.
