Model of the Week: Kandice L. Turnbough

Wow, I am in all right now! (lol) I have to say that I am truly honored for this opportunity to be featured as model of the week. Thank you.   


Let me share a little bit about myself. I am 27 years old, been married for two wonderful years. I am an administrative assistant, and I am very passionate about health and fitness.  

Just last year I was telling my husband that I wanted to get back into modeling and he told me to follow my dreams and get to it. So I began networking with some amazing people; booking photo shoots and runway shows with some of Detroit’s up in coming fashion designers and also a few bridal shows. I totally love the whole experience of getting calls from photographers and stylist to do photo shoots, I feel like a real life Barbie doll. Lol  


I thank God for the support of my husband; he’s my #1 fan. He’s there as my backbone and comfort when the industry gets a little rough. He reminds me to be strong when there is possibility for rejection. I have to say that is one of the hardest parts being in the beauty and fashion industry. I also appreciate the support of my friends and family and of course the companionship of my dear BlackBerry at casting calls and rehearsals.  


One of the mottos I live by “when you know what you want in life, and you want it bad enough, you will do what ever it takes to get it” and I want to be the best I can be in this industry at the same time be a role model for the younger generation to inspire them to follow their hearts desires.
